Music has always been there to support, and challenge me in every way.
As a child I found music and melodies as my tool, to reach unknown places, or just to escape for a while. I was a quiet and shy child. My mom often wanted me to sing and play my songs, when we had visitors, but I didn’t really like the attention. Today I still don’t need the attention but I long for the world's appreciation on the music I do,
- and the beauty in the voice I carry.
My purpose is to reach the untouched places, and simply open your heart. The energy this music is carrying, has the ability to move into places people aren’t aware of, and places inside them they haven’t spoken to a very long time.
I have a long history with singing and writing songs. Since 1992 I really got into songwriting. The songs I wrote, had a therapeutic effect on me. Almost every song I wrote the first years were about my past and very long! It took me around 5 years to write real song that was understandable for others than me, and they became very good songs!
I never felt that I did fit in to the music business, - it was all too superficial and mainstream. I wanted to go deeper, and I guess that’s why "UpstairsInsideBeyond" did manifest! I won't neglect that I am very happy about the older songs, - and that time just had to be. So this year I will publish most of them, letting them go, and enjoy watching their journey. Maybe they even find the way to your ears, and heart. "UpstairsInsideBeyond" will get a little sister as well this year, or next spring, so look out for her, or she might find you, so you can stay centered and focused in a noisy world.
